Academic Team Places Second In DOE Regional Science Bowl

NFHS's Academic Team traveled to compete in the DOE Regional Science Bowl in Aiken, S.C. this past weekend. The region consists of all counties in S.C. and the eastern counties of Ga.

Leo Beck, Pauline Bisaccio, Nick Couch and Trevor Puzzio finished in second place and were the last school from S.C. in the competition. While Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Ga. took first place, the Academic Team won $750 for the science department and $75 gift cards for individual team members.

Advisers Susan Javon and Blair Tate oversaw team members Mira Baki, Leo Beck, Nick Couch, Amanda Cordle, Megan Edge-Partington, Teddy Feldman, Davis Hobbs, Caeden Intemann, Johanna Jackley, Charles Kowalski, Charlotte Pollack, Madeline Pollack, Trevor Puzzio, Theo Rogers, Connor Ross, Maggie Rosinski, Pauline Bisaccoi and Josh Willoughby.
